Executive Director

Purpose of the Position 

The Executive Director of Saving Grace Inc. is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its vision, mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the Pet Adoption Center and the Fund Raising & Public Relations functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, gain board approval, and implement an annual operating plan which includes business goals and objectives, strategy and budgets.
  • Provide oversight and support to the operations management of the organization. 
  • Responsible for marketing and fundraising activities, which includes grant writing.
  • Dutifully and respectively represents Saving Grace to the public as the spokesperson for the organization.
  • Maintains constructive working relationships with County officials which includes leading appropriate negotiations to be presented to the Board for approval.
  • Ensures proper and accurate information is available and reported as needed.
  • Works closely with committees to offer support and stays informed on relevant activities. When necessary, may also assume chair responsibilities. 
  • Ensures proper record keeping, legal and safety compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and minimum two years of supervisory experience. Experience with nonprofit Board of Directors. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in growing a fundraising program, Board development, and the ability to cultivate leadership skills in others.

Knowledge and Skills:

Detail-orientated, effective written and verbal communication skills. Able to prioritize duties and perform multiple tasks at one time. A general knowledge of animal health, care and welfare preferred but not required.  Able to exercise good judgment when dealing with personnel, customers, animal or management issues. Must have good computer skills.

 

Anticipated Salary Range: $55,000 – $75,000/year, depending on experience.
